My point with him is that he is not a long term solution. He is a 33 year old who has bounced around a little bit with no real Major League success to speak of. That isn&#39;t to say that he is terrible, but he is not someone who you want to put all your faith in when you are in a postseason race.<br /><br />Daley may not have been hit hard, and sometimes balls don&#39;t fall in the right place, but often times little bloop hits are a result of not hitting the spots that you are looking to hit on a consistent basis. While Seth Smith should have made the play in left field last night, it was not a routine catch. <br /><br />The fact is, Daley has allowed runs in four out of his last six outings. Did you actually watch the game last night? Daley got the first out...walked the next on 2 pitches that even the announcers said were strikes, then gets victimized by a bad play in left and 2 runs score on a weak hit to right because the infield was in. He strikes the next guy out and gets the final out as well. By my count, with a decent play in left he is out of the inning with a pretty nice showing. Hopefully the manager is watching more closely than you. As far as the other teams figuring him out...go back again and check the tape. No one hit the ball well against him. Baseball is often a game of breaks and Daley got some bad ones.
